Educators, Staff & Volunteers

All educators, staff and volunteers must follow our strict code of conduct when working with children.

Everyone is trained, supervised and supported to ensure they understand and uphold our child safety responsibilities.

Risk Management

We actively identify, assess and minimise risks to children across both physical and online environments.

  • Regular safety checks of environments
  • Strict supervision practices
  • No inappropriate online contact

Training & Supervision

  • Minimum of 4 training sessions per year
  • Child safety training every 2 years
  • Ongoing supervision and support
  • Clear reporting procedures for concerns

Recruitment & Screening

  • Working with Children Checks required
  • Police and reference checks conducted
  • Commitment to safe hiring practices
  • Inclusive hiring across all backgrounds

Legal Responsibilities

We comply with all Victorian child safety laws, including mandatory reporting obligations.

  • Failure to disclose offences must be reported
  • Failure to protect children is a legal offence
  • Mandatory reporters must act accordingly
